Hello and welcome; let me introduce myself and explain what Strategic Goal Management is all about.

My name is Michael; I am a renowned business coach and management consultant based in Norfolk, near Norwich. My passion is helping others to succeed with their personal and business goals, and I have a proven track record of doing just that.

I strongly believe in developing people through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development. All of which can help you to reach your maximum potential, and have significant positive benefits for your business and personal life. 

As a senior business leader, I have gained significant knowledge of diverse business functions and principles and strategic leadership. However, most of my success in the public and private sectors can be attributed to my ability to coach, engage and motivate people as a transformational leader.

My emphasis on the importance of people was what first led me into coaching as a basic training instructor in the British Army in 2007. I have continued to be a great advocate of coaching as a leader to improve personal and team performance due to it’s effectiveness.

Having achieved great success as a business leader, now it is my time to pay it forward by supporting business owners and individuals to achieve success of their own. This is the main reason that I get up in the morning, I am highly motivated to help you succeed and I take great pleasure seeing the results that I help to deliver. I enable companies solve their business problems, scale growth and improve their leadership teams.

Read on to hear some more boring stuff about my career; I aim to provide a context of my experience so that you can gauge whether or not I am the right person to help you. However, I would suggest giving me call as a better way of seeing what Strategic Goal Management can do to support you and your business.

I am a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute with a first-class honour’s degree in Leadership and Management. I am also a member of the Association for Project Management, the Institute of Leadership and Management and a technical member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

Currently I am studying on an MBA pathway as well as undertaking further professional development as a coach and business consultant.

Before starting Strategic Goal Management, I spent three and half years as a Managing Director for a company called Clearview Communications based in Essex. I achieved outstanding results and the company flourished and achieved significant growth during my time there.

I was formally acknowledged for my success and was nominated as a finalist for ‘Business Leader of the Year SME’ by the Ex-Forces in Business Awards.

Previously I worked in various management and leadership roles, including as the Head of Operations for a large power company. I was responsible for operating a state-of-the-art energy centre in North Greenwich as part of an £87.5m project, which is the largest district heating network in Europe.

In my first civilian role post leaving the military, I managed operations at Bromley by Bow, in the busiest delivery station in the Amazon network at the time. During the role I was responsible for the operational elements of the UK launch of Amazon Fresh and the turnaround of a failing operation.

As a British Army veteran with nearly 17 years of service in the Army Air Corps. This experience is where I honed and developed my coaching and leadership and management skills. I was responsible for managing complex high-tempo operations, including Apache attack helicopter ground operations in the UK and internationally.

During my military career, I received operational service medals for deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct medal in 2015.

As is passionate advocate for ex-military veterans I support them into civilian employment (for free) during their transition out of the military. I have now successfully coached and mentored over thirty ex-forces personnel into senior management and leadership roles in the last five years.
