About the Client
Murrant Family Funeral Services was opened in 2007 by husband-and-wife directors Michael and Lynn Murrant. Our head office sits in a central location within the village of Martham, Norfolk. We also have an office in Great Yarmouth at Apollo House which is is designed to provide a bridge between a direct cremation and a full-fledged funeral service held at a crematorium.
Digital Marketing Strategy
Our work with Murrant Family Funeral Services started by a referral from a previous client in the Great Yarmouth area that recommended us. The Murrant team were seeking help with their website and digital marketing strategy.
After a free consultation, I learned about the business operation, challenges, and the steeped history of the company. I was keen to work on such an interesting project with such great people that are making a meaningful impact in the community with their funeral services.
The Project Scope
The existing company website was a bit tired and needed an overhaul to compete with the local competition and a brand refresh was also agreed upon. Initially I was given the guidelines for the branding and this was to be done first so that we could use the brand guidelines and elements throughout the new website.
It was also agreed that search engine optimisation, social media and Google Business was to be part of the project scope. With the goal of increasing online visibility and rankings.
The New Website and New Logo
What we have achieved so far:
The new website was launched after a remarkable 4 week build time and the results were instant. The content was written by the Strategic goal Management team in conjunction with the client for accuracy and brand tone of voice.
For several of their target keywords and main services the improvement was tangible and fast. Not only did the work improve their local rankings, it also ranked them for several keywords nationally.
