Get the Business Basics Right
As a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute with a first-class honour’s degree in Leadership and Management, my academic background supported my personal success as a business leader through the application of best practice business management and leadership principles.
I am a member of the Association for Project Management, the Institute of Leadership and Management and a technical member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Michael is currently studying on an MBA pathway.
Before Becoming a Business Coach and Consultant
Before consulting, I spent three and half years as a Managing Director, where he achieved outstanding results including the execution of a hugely successful web strategy that increased web orders by 954% to circa £2m. In this period.
I was formally acknowledged for my business success as a finalist for ‘Business Leader of the Year SME’ by the Ex-Forces in Business Awards.
Expertise as a Senior Business Leader
Previously Michael worked in various management and leadership roles, including as the Head of Operations for a large power company. He was responsible for operating a state-of-the-art energy centre in North Greenwich as part of an £87.5m project, which was the largest district heating network in Europe.
Michael also managed operations at Amazon, in the busiest delivery station in the Amazon network in London. He was also responsible for the operational elements of the UK launch of Amazon Fresh and the turnaround of a failing operation.
British Army Veteran
Michael is a British Army veteran with seventeen years of service in the Army Air Corps. This experience is where he honed and developed his leadership and management skills. Latterly he was responsible for managing complex high-tempo operations, including Apache attack helicopter ground operations in the UK and internationally.
